Summer Internship 2017

We are offering a 6-week, paid internship.

About the Internship

The Internship is July 19–July 28, 2017 (start/end dates are flexible), and requires a minimum of 20-hours per week. Our office is located in Boulder, Colorado.


TRAINING
This part-time Internship is designed to provide Interns with focused experience as a member of a small, custom web design and development firm. The Intern will gain experience by working as part of the management team and meeting weekly with his/her Preceptor to discuss program objectives and review projects.

The Intern is expected to work independently on assignments and should have access to a computer and the Internet outside of the edgimo office. The core learning objectives are the same for every Intern, but additional objectives will be set based on the Intern’s strengths, weaknesses, and areas of interest. It's a structured program that is designed to teach interns about

  • Website design and maintenance
  • Search engine optimization
  • Search engine marketing
  • Strategic planning
  • Social media marketing

Emphasis is given to on-the-job training. Preceptor meetings cover the same material with every Intern, but projects are assigned based on the interests, goals, and strengths/weakness of each Intern. To the extent possible, the training schedule and assignments will allow the Intern to focus those activities in which he/she is most interested and in most need of experience.


COMPENSATION
The Intern will receive a stipend that is appropriate for his/her experience and skill set. Stipends range from twelve hundred ($1,200) to two thousand four hundred dollars ($2,400) paid in two (2) equal payments. The Intern will not receive health benefits, vacation, sick time, or other compensation. Upon acceptance of the Internship, the Intern will be required to agree to the policies of edgimo Inc. as if the Intern was an employee.


Who Should Apply

The program is designed for college-level interns who are interested in learning about web-based technology, entrepreneurial endeavors, web design, and digital marketing. The ideal intern has a mixed skill set that includes problem solving, use of the internet for research, social media, graphic design, web development, and strong written and verbal communication skills.


Applicants are evaluated based on the quality of the applicant’s resume, initiative, and communication skills.

  • Include one example of a website that you particularly like and why – can be any type of website.
  • If you are a designer, include a link to your portfolio

We confirm the receipt of applications. Applicants thought to be well suited for the Internship will be invited to interview either at the edgimo offices in Boulder or at a mutually agreed-upon location.
